One full day to celebrate pure firey African talent at the BASSLINE FEST; an annual Urban Music Festival in its 14th year.

We’ll be joining some of Africa’s and indeed, the World’s treasured talent in music, at the BASSLINE FEST, which will now be taking place only on the 26th May 2018 at the historically rich Constitution Hill, in Johannesburg with Bassline Jozi and YOU!

The festival which falls on the Africa Day weekend will see every artist partaking in a celebration that unites and pays homage to our continent, with a particular focus this year, to the legacy of the late Nelson Mandela.

Headlining the 2018 edition of the BASSLINE FEST is world-renowned and Malian born Afro-Pop legend, Salif Keita alongside ever vibrant, elegant and talented Yemi Alade, hailing from Nigeria.

Alade and Keita, have been selected as ambassadors from Africa to celebrate Madiba’s legacy and will perform in an exclusively crafted performance to pay tribute through their songs, a duet and a further composition entitled “Africa’s Tribute To Mandela”.

Other acts to expect are: Ladysmith Black Mambazo – South Africa, Flavia Coelho – Brazil, Nakhane – South Africa, Femi Koya – Nigeria and much more.

Gates open at 2pm and the performances start at 3pm till late. Remember to gear up for the heat during the day and keep warm for the night.

Food and beverages will be on sale and underground parking will be available at no extra cost.

 Remember that tickets are R400 and children under 10 enjoy the vibe at no charge.
