On Saturday, October 19th, we headed over to sunny Pretoria to check out YFM’s second edition of LYFE. Hosted at the Sun Arena, Time Square in Pretoria, the festival merged music, fashion, culture and lifestyle.

With a lineup featuring some of the biggest musical acts in South Africa, it promised to be one of the hottest sets of the season. Featuring performances from AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Boity, Nadia Nakai, Nasty C, Riky Rick, Rouge, Rowlene, Sho Madjozi, A Reece, 25K The Plug, Champagne 69, Focalistic, J Molley and Tellaman, the entire day truly was LYFE-giving.

During the day, an outdoor stage was set-up offering a mellow and vibrant, warm Saturday. The beer garden kept the festival-goers refreshed and was coupled with, a hubbly lounge, a gaming area and brand activations set to meet the tastes of all fashion, food and art lovers.

The evening saws the indoor arena come alive. The stage was spectacular and the venue really was fitting to host some South Africa’s top act musicians and festival attendees.

Mr Supa Mega performed with a live band and left the crowd in absolute awe. After the recent announcement of him being a multi-diamond and platinum-selling artist, we’re definitely not surprised.

Sho Madjozi, the Tsonga princess, was such a stunner and showed off her international hit, ‘John Cena‘. The crowd seemed to sing and dance along to almost every word and beat. Who knew so many South African’s would be able to spew Swahili so effortlessly? Africa Unite!

Cassper Nyovest really knows how to make a crowd go insane for him. He blew everyone away and made sure we were all sweaty from dancing and singing along to his tunes while watching his killer moves.

YFM and Pitoli really brought the heat this weekend.

Here are some of our favourite images from the entire day.
