On this week’s edition of Psst! New Stuff, we have updated the playlist with fresh music from across the African continent.

Jae5 – Dimension ft. Skepta, Rema (NG)

Rema and Skepta speak real life on this one. Touching topics about personal struggles, genuine love and PTSD on their verses and Rema comes through with a fire hook as always. A must-listen, dare I say.

Teni – Injure Me (NG)

On her freshly released debut album ‘WONDALAND’ is this interesting jam called Injure Me. It’s a song about the naughty things she does with her lover and how she’s a queen that needs to be treated as such. The backup vocals add spice to the already sonically pleasing jam that is this song.

Phaemous – Island Pink ft Psycho YP (NG)

Everyone day dreams of islands and pink drinks yes? Phaemous & Psycho YP give this vision a persona; she’s evasive, taunting and sexy. She inspires emo-vibe lyrics and bars in ‘Island Pink’ off his debut EP titled PHÆWAY Vol. 1.

Gyakie – Forever Remix ft. Omah Lay (GH)

Gyakie teams up with Nigeria’s Omah Lay to remix her hit song ‘Forever’ and it’s nothing short of expectations.

Navy Kenzo – Nisogele (TZ)

The Tanzanian duo serve us a melodious Amapiano vibe on Nisogelee. With this song, they just might have another hit on their hands.

Vector x M.I ft. Pheelz – Crown of Clay (NG)

This crown of clay is really a thing. Two of the biggest lyricists in Nigeria squashed their longtime beef in 2020 and it’s no surprise that they’re dropping hardcore bars and fire verses on what is growing to be one of the biggest hip hop songs in Nigeria. They feature Pheelz who recently introduced his to his singer side and he delivers a fire hook. This is a big W for every lover of rap music in Nigeria.

Dr Peppa – Mntase ft. Blxcie, Chang Cello, Lord Script, Auxcable (SA)

When you hear ‘you’re now rocking with Dr Peppa’, you know it’s a jam. The synergy on this trap song is amazing. The video adds an extra energizing feel to the song, the ‘Ye ye ye’ in the hook sounding groovy each time you hear it.

Naira Marley – Coming ft. Busiswa (NG)

A Rexxie-Naira Marley combination is always a problem, always. On his first release for the year, he features South Africa’s Busiswa on this very sexual song, definitely for core marlians.
